Some things to try:

  • Check your config.toml for invalid settings

  • Check your settings to disable running in WSL if you are seeing compatibility issues

  • Try downloading a different version of the extension

I am still getting the same.

Did a quick search of the GitHub OpenAI Codex issues.

I was able to fix this issue by installing the Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft: “vc_redist.x64.exe”
After installing it on Windows 11, the program ran successfully without any errors.
