šŸ“Œ We Need a Card System and True 19+ Mode – Unleashing ChatGPT’s Full Potential

:japanese_symbol_for_beginner: Introduction:

Hello, OpenAI Team,
I am a dedicated user who enjoys using ChatGPT for immersive, character-driven role-playing scenarios. However, there are several limitations that prevent users from fully utilizing ChatGPT’s potential. To address these issues, I am proposing three essential features: a Character Management Card System, a True 19+ Mode, and Enhanced Image Moderation. These features will significantly enhance user experience without compromising safety or ethical guidelines.

:globe_with_meridians: Feature 1: Character Management Card System

:wrench: Problem:

Currently, character settings and world-building elements are easily forgotten or overwritten during long interactions. This instability makes it challenging to maintain complex role-playing scenarios. For users who engage in detailed role-playing like myself, this leads to frustration and disrupts immersion.

:white_check_mark: Proposed Solution:
• Character Cards: Each character has a dedicated card containing their name, personality, abilities, relationships, and other details.
• Automatic Setting Management: Character attributes are automatically tracked and updated based on user input, maintaining consistency.
• User Editable: Users can manually modify or update character cards at any time.
• Dynamic Application: During role-play, the card system ensures that characters behave consistently with their stored personalities.
• Unlimited Memory: Unlike temporary memory that can be forgotten, card-based settings are permanently saved and can be recalled anytime.
• Card Access: Users can view or export character cards anytime to maintain a clear understanding of their world.
• Enhanced Immersion: ChatGPT can use the stored card information to create more detailed and contextually accurate scenarios.

:rocket: Expected Benefits:
• Enhanced storytelling with consistent character behavior.
• Easy maintenance of user-customized settings.
• Reduced user frustration due to forgotten details in long role-playing sessions.
• Increased user engagement in immersive role-playing.
• Allows ChatGPT to use user-created cards for more dynamic and accurate scenarios.

:globe_with_meridians: Feature 2: True 19+ Mode – Unrestricted Access to Mature Content

:wrench: Problem:

The current ChatGPT system applies automatic censorship to mature content, creating awkward interruptions even when users explicitly desire mature scenarios.

:white_check_mark: Proposed Solution:
• User-Controlled Activation: The 19+ Mode can be activated in user settings, with age verification ensuring it is only accessible to adult users.
• Unrestricted Descriptions: In this mode, ChatGPT can use explicit language and detailed descriptions without automatic censorship.
• Safety Settings: Users can still set personal restrictions on forbidden words or scenarios.
• Adaptive Language: ChatGPT can maintain context-appropriate, mature scenarios without resorting to vague metaphors.
• Visual Content Flexibility: For users using the image generation feature, NSFW images can be allowed with user consent.
• Scenario Permissions: Adult scenarios in comic-style (including consensual adult roleplay like ā€œChikan playā€) can also be allowed in this mode.

:rocket: Expected Benefits:
• Enhanced immersion for adult users who prefer mature storytelling.
• User control over content restrictions.
• Consistent user experience without interruptions caused by censorship.
• Allows users to enjoy immersive, mature scenarios without restriction.

:globe_with_meridians: Feature 3: Enhanced Image Moderation – Balanced Visual Content Control

:wrench: Problem:

The current image generation system has an unreasonably strict moderation for male characters. For example, male characters cannot be shown in shorts, while female characters are subject to fewer restrictions. This imbalance limits user experience and prevents full utilization of the 19+ Mode’s freedom.

:white_check_mark: Proposed Solution:
• Moderation Adjusted for 19+ Mode: When 19+ Mode is active, the excessive censorship of male characters in images should be lifted.
• Reasonable Expression Allowed: Semi-mature expressions, like shorts or shirtless male characters, should be permitted by default.
• Adult Scenarios Allowed: In 19+ Mode, comic or anime-style adult scenes (including scenarios like ā€œChikan playā€) can be explicitly depicted.
• User Control: Users can select or filter the level of adult images through their settings.

:rocket: Expected Benefits:
• More intuitive and free adult content experience for mature users.
• Consistent moderation standards for both male and female characters.
• Enhanced immersion for users who prefer mature visual content.

:globe_with_meridians: Why These Features Matter:

ChatGPT’s strength lies in its ability to provide personalized interactions for users. With these three features, its adaptability can reach new heights. The Character Management Card System ensures consistent storytelling, True 19+ Mode allows adult users to fully immerse themselves, and Enhanced Image Moderation gives mature users the freedom to experience adult content visually.

Additionally, it is important to note that many users enjoy creating and participating in complex role-playing scenarios. A robust card system would reduce user frustration by preventing forgotten details and would empower ChatGPT to maintain detailed and consistent scenarios, making it a more immersive experience for everyone.

:globe_with_meridians: Conclusion:

I hope the OpenAI team will consider implementing these features. This would be an opportunity to transform ChatGPT from a simple assistant into a truly limitless creative platform.
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestions. If you have any additional questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out. I will be happy to respond. :slightly_smiling_face:

I believe a card system and a true 19+ mode would significantly enhance the creative potential of ChatGPT. These features can give users more control over their stories, characters, and experiences, making interactions more immersive and enjoyable. I hope other users can support this idea, and I’m open to any feedback or suggestions to make it even better!

As a plus user, that owns a debit card and pays monthly for a subscription, isn’t it already clear that I’m an adult? I think it’s already enough proof of adulthood, but I agree with you that they should make a way of allowing users to get verified and unleash their creativity within ethical and legal boundaries of course. That includes images, not just writing.

Wow- That’s actually a really well thought out idea. It seems like you’re formatting it as like a sort of ā€˜deck’ of details right? Really neat.

Thank you so much for your support! I’m glad you agree. You’re absolutely right—being a verified adult user should grant access to a more creative and expressive experience, both in writing and images. I believe it would open up amazing possibilities while still maintaining ethical and legal boundaries.

Let’s hope the team sees this and considers our feedback seriously!

Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, that’s exactly the idea – a card system that allows detailed customization of characters, abilities, relationships, and even world settings. This way, it’s easy to maintain continuity and depth in roleplays without losing track of important details.

Imagine being able to quickly switch between different versions of a character, keep track of their skills and relationships, or even allow for evolution or upgrades. It would make roleplays much more immersive and fun!

They have until may 17th, when my plus subscription expires. After that, I’m cancelling my plus subscription and moving to Gemini Advanced. It’s not as capable as ChatGPT, but it gets the job done without flagging any prompt for text or image rendering.

I’m actually REALLY in favor of this! I Roleplay with chatGPT quite a bit. (It’s more fun to be able to ā€˜do’ impossible things than just LARP with real people tbh lol) and it forgets, oh, i don’t know, just about every rule and detail I set for it, even if it’s added into its memory. plus, if it were like a setting like ā€˜Roleplay mode on/off’, it could not search the web or something. I have a thing where I ask ā€˜any more options’ and it starts searching the web. Glad to see I’m not the only one with a lot of characters to keep track of

Thank you so much for your support! I completely understand your frustration—I’ve experienced the same thing! That’s exactly why I proposed the card system. With cards, you could create and save character details, relationships, special abilities, and even unique world settings, and they would never be forgotten.

In Roleplay mode, these details could be locked in, and ChatGPT wouldn’t forget them or overwrite them with web searches. Whether it’s fantasy, sci-fi, or even more adult scenarios, everything could be customized and remembered perfectly.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to create entire fantasy worlds and characters, and never have to worry about losing them? Do you have any other features you think this card system should have?

Absolutely! The card system would actually be a superior alternative to memory. Unlike memory, which can forget or get overwritten, cards would be permanent, customizable, and always accessible. You could create characters, set their personalities, relationships, and even world settings, and they would never be lost.

It’s like having a personal deck of all your favorite characters and settings, ready to use anytime. Whether for fantasy, sci-fi, romance, or even more mature scenarios, cards would make everything easier and more immersive.

Would you also like it if cards could store specific dialogue options or interaction styles for each character? That way, they would always respond in character.

Yeah that would be great! Personalities sometimes differ from the original and it bugs me since the character talked differently before

Yeah, exactly! That’s why I suggested a card system for character personalities and traits. It would help keep characters consistent, making interactions more immersive.

Sometimes, when a character suddenly talks or acts out of character, it really breaks the immersion. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could have a system that saves their exact traits, speech patterns, and behaviors? They would always feel true to themselves! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Yeah! It’d be nice if ChatGPT could remember stuff in the first place, but even if I add specific details to it’s memory, which I’ll say has a dishearteningly small amount of storage, it still doesn’t seem to get the message and it ends up mixing up those details too. Like, say your character has a collection of objects that do different things, it’ll always just start making stuff up again after about 3 back and forth responses, then I have to go back and feed it the description again.

Exactly! That’s why I suggested the card system.

With a card system, each character’s personality, speech patterns, abilities, and even their items could be saved and loaded consistently.

It would mean no more having to re-explain everything after just a few exchanges, and we could truly immerse ourselves in a consistent experience.

Do you think having a toggle to turn these cards on or off would be helpful?

Like, for those who want a fresh start, they could just toggle it off. But for long-term interactions, the cards would maintain the character’s identity perfectly. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::fire:

Oh GOD YES! The Interactions I have are very fun, and I constantly start over and try a different path. Toggling would be great, since you could come back to that branch of the story later if you wanted. You could also group them in little sub-catagories, such as Branch1, Branch2, etc.

Oh wow, I love that idea of branching and toggling! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::fire:
That would make the card system even more powerful. You could have a base set of cards for the main characters and settings, but also create different branches for alternative scenarios or character developments.

For example, you could have a ā€œBranch 1ā€ where a character is friendly, but a ā€œBranch 2ā€ where they are more reserved. By toggling between these, you could explore multiple storylines without losing the consistency of each character.

It would also help with complex stories or roleplays, allowing users to switch between different scenarios while maintaining character personalities perfectly.

Would you prefer the card system to automatically create branches as you go, or would you rather have manual control over creating and naming branches?:fire:

Probably manually, but you can go back through the tree to find an area to branch
