# Vibe Match — A Privacy-First Social Connection Feature for ChatGPT
Dear OpenAI Team,
I would like to propose a product concept that could potentially become an interesting future feature for ChatGPT.
## Vibe Match
**Vibe Match** would allow ChatGPT users who voluntarily opt in to discover other users with compatible interests, hobbies, or conversation preferences — while keeping privacy and user consent at the center of the experience.
### How it could work
1. A user voluntarily opts in to Vibe Match.
2. The user selects interests, hobbies, and preferred conversation topics.
3. ChatGPT identifies potentially compatible users who have also opted in, without revealing anyone’s private information.
4. Both users independently receive a request asking whether they would like to connect.
5. Only after both users consent, ChatGPT creates a temporary shared conversation.
6. ChatGPT can act as a conversation facilitator by providing simple icebreakers or topic suggestions.
7. Users remain privacy-protected initially and can decide what personal information, if any, they want to share.
8. Either user can leave, block, or unmatch at any time.
### Possible Vibe Match modes
* Gaming buddies
* Movie and TV discussions
* Music interests
* Study and learning conversations
* Hobbies and creative interests
* General conversations with people who have a similar conversational vibe
The core principle would be:
**Consent → Compatibility → Conversation → User-Controlled Sharing**
The goal would not be to expose users to strangers automatically, but to create a controlled, optional, and privacy-conscious way for people to discover meaningful conversations with others who share similar interests.
I believe this concept could potentially expand the social and conversational possibilities of ChatGPT while maintaining strong user control and privacy.
