I don’t know if it’s intended or not, but GPT-5 gives very short answers which make it nearly unuseable for writing. Also it seems to have no real knowledge about the world as for example Claude AI by Anthropic has. It’s style is ok, but it’s nothing special, it’s what standards should be and wasn’t a long time at OpenAI, so for them it is a step forward, but just to be on one level with other competitors for now. All in all it’s nothing what makes me scream aloud for it’s there now.

drives me nuts. if you explicity ask it will increase its tokens for one or two queries then just gets more and more terse

agreed. the answers on GPT4 seem more thoughtfull and complete. What have you done openAI?
