I archived everything and then I unarchived everything from 2025 however, I am missing dozens of conversations that are not found in the sidebar after having unarchived everything from 2025.
While clicking on archive you would see the convos leave the archive category, but there was no evidence of it being put back into the sidebar.
UPDATE
After further reflection and testing, I realized that many of the conversations I thought were “missing” were actually already placed into project folders before I archived them. When unarchived, they didn’t return to the general sidebar — they were silently restored back into their designated folders, which is why I didn’t see them at first.
While this system behavior makes sense in hindsight, it’s not intuitive at all. There’s no visual indicator showing that a convo was returned to a folder rather than the sidebar. So for anyone else worried they’ve lost chats: check your project folders — they may already be there.
Still hoping for better visibility in the UI going forward, but grateful I didn’t actually lose everything.
