Unable to schedule tasks in ChatGPT with Plus account

Hi everyone,

I’m a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, and I’m trying to use the Tasks feature that allows scheduling tasks (for example, asking ChatGPT to remind me of something or provide recurring updates).

However, I don’t seem to have access to this functionality, or it doesn’t work when I try to use it.

ChatGPT answer is always that it is unable to do it.

I would like to understand:

  1. Is task scheduling available to all Plus users? I have subscribed using Apple Store, would it be why it doesn’t work?

  2. Is there a specific setting that needs to be enabled?

  3. Are there any limitations (model, platform, or feature rollout) that could explain why I don’t see it?

For context:

  • I’m using ChatGPT on desktop (web version), the macOS app, and iPhone.

  • My account is Plus and active.

  • My work account (also a Plus account in the same country, but with a different email address and payment method) can be used to planned tasks.

If anyone has experienced the same issue or knows what might be causing it, I’d appreciate your help.

You’re not alone. I have the same issue on plus and I’ve been paying for years. No icon and scheduler UI doesn’t pop up for me.

In fact, I used to be able to sort of schedule by prompting, but can’t even do that anymore.
