Hi, I previously completed verification and was approved for Trusted Access for Cyber.
However, today I noticed that my Trusted Access appears to have disappeared from my account. I did not receive any email or notification about a removal or status change.
When I visit https://chatgpt.com/cyber, it now shows “Start verification”, as if I need to begin the entire verification process again.
Would like to +1 here! For support reading this can my account also be checked? I’ve shared more information but did not get a ticket/Case ID back from the bot
Same situation here today. My TAC was previously verified and Daybreak Blue was working in both Codex Desktop and CLI, but today Daybreak disappeared and the TAC page reset to the initial “Start verification” state. I received no email or notice about any change.
I completed Trusted Access for Cyber verification on August 11 and received Daybreak Blue access. Everything was working normally and I was actively using it.
Today, August 19, the Blue status/access suddenly disappeared from my account.
I’m on a ChatGPT Pro 5x account, and I haven’t changed my account, subscription, or anything else that should affect the verification state.
I also contacted Support and my case has already been escalated.
Given that several previously verified users seem to have lost Daybreak Blue access at roughly the same time, this looks increasingly like a provisioning/verification-state issue rather than an individual eligibility problem.
It would be great if someone from the Daybreak / Trusted Access team could investigate what happened to previously approved accounts.
I successfully passed Trusted Access verification and got access to Daybreak/Cyber. I received the “Welcome to OpenAI Daybreak Blue” email and everything worked fine in Codex.
Then, literally one day later, my access disappeared and Trusted Access suddenly said I wasn’t verified anymore. I tried “Restart verification” and now my account shows as unverified/ineligible.
It’s honestly pretty painful to finally get access, use it for one day, and then lose it without any explanation.
Support has escalated my case to a specialist. Has this happened to anyone else?
So my account and subscription still appear to be eligible.
After the access disappeared, a new Persona verification attempt ended with verification_status: failed.
I then enabled Advanced Account Security. It is now correctly detected as enabled, but attempting verification again no longer opens Persona and instead returns:
cyber_verification_precheck_failed User is not eligible for Persona cyber verification
So at this point the issue seems to be specifically related to the Trusted Access / verification state rather than account or plan eligibility.
I have exactly the same problem. Support hasn’t responded yet.
I’m afraid they won’t be able to help, as they can’t influence the verification status and Persona.
Due to a technical issue, a limited set of users’ access to Daybreak Blue is no longer active, and they will need to reverify to maintain their access. This isn’t the experience we want to deliver, and we’re making sure the issue doesn’t happen again.
Affected users have been notified by email with a path for verification, and our teams are on standby to help. Please look for an email titled “Action required: Reverify your Daybreak Blue access” and reply directly if you have questions or run into an issue.
Please don’t share personal or account information here.
I received the same “Action required: Reverify your Daybreak Blue access” email and followed the re-verification link.
Unfortunately, the re-verification flow is still blocked for me as well — clicking Start verification returns the “We couldn’t start verification” / not eligible for this verification flow error.
So the recovery path provided in the email currently isn’t usable on my account.
I replied to the email with the details, but haven’t received a response yet. It looks like there may also be an issue with the re-verification flow itself.
I had Trusted Access for Cyber for more than a month and everything was working fine.
Today it suddenly disappeared. I got no email, no warning and no notification. When I open /cyber I just see the default verification page again, like I was never verified before. Cyber/Daybreak models that I had access to also disappeared.
I am using the same ChatGPT account and the same email that was approved before. I also didn’t changed my subscription or account.
I don’t really understand why I need to verify again if I was already approved and had access for more than a month.
I contacted support already.
Case Number: 13426161
Support asked me to try the verification flow again, but I’m not sure if I should do this, because my previous verification was already successful and I don’t want to accidentally create another problem with verification
Support confirmed that my Daybreak Blue access was lost because of a recent technical issue that affected a limited number of users.
They told me to reapply through /cyber to restore access, so I did exactly that. But after trying again I now get:
“Your identity couldn’t be verified or your account is ineligible at this time.”
I contacted support again and explained that I was not asking them to manually approve me, because I already had approved access before their technical issue happened.
They now confirmed that they cannot reset my verification state, restore my previous verification result, or change the new eligibility result. They also said that the current verification is returning a “definitive eligibility result”.
So basically I had approved Daybreak Blue for more than a month, lost it because of a technical issue confirmed by OpenAI, was asked to verify again because of this issue, and now the new verification says I’m ineligible.
Current Case Number: 13419565
My previous support case was: 13426161
If someone from OpenAI can check this or escalate it to the Daybreak/verification team, I would really appreciate it.
I am experiencing the exact same issue as described above. My account had an approved Trusted Access for Cyber status, and everything was working perfectly until yesterday. I was actively using the Daybreak Blue model via Codex.
Starting today (August 19, 2026), my access completely dropped, and I am facing the following workflow failures:
Any attempt to use the model or look at old chats in Codex results in: “The ‘gpt-daybreak-blue-latest’ model is not supported when using Codex with a ChatGPT account.”
When I visit https://chatgpt.com/cyber, I am blocked by the screen saying: “Your identity couldn’t be verified or your account is ineligible at this time. If you think this is a mistake, please contact support.”
I have already submitted a support ticket, and the bot transferred it to a human agent. If any OpenAI team members or moderators see this, please flag this backend bug to the Cyber Defense engineering team.
I’m having the same issue. I noticed I no longer had access yesterday and have had access the past few weeks without issue. Used my ChatGPT app and login every time without issue. After over 20 messages with AI support, after turning on advanced security measures, logging out and in, re-verifying (all at the suggestion of customer support) the final response was basically, ‘we’re unable to change your status and we’re unable to tell you what you status is or why it was changed.’ Please let us know if you find a remedy and OpenAI please help us by putting some human eyes on this. Thank you in advance!
I previously had approved Daybreak Blue / Trusted Access for Cyber access and was able to use it normally before this incident.
After my access disappeared, I received the email from OpenAI confirming that a technical issue had affected a limited number of users and instructing us to reapply.
I followed those instructions and attempted the verification three times. Each time, the verification completed with a rejection / ineligible result.
After the third attempt, I can no longer start the verification process at all. The /cyber page now immediately shows:
“Unable to start verification. You may not be eligible to complete this verification flow at this time. Please try again later or contact Support if you believe this is an error.”
So the sequence in my case was:
Previously approved access → access removed because of the confirmed technical issue → re-verification requested by OpenAI → three failed eligibility results → verification flow now completely blocked.
This seems very similar to what others in this thread are reporting. What is particularly frustrating is that all of this started only after previously approved users lost access because of the technical issue acknowledged by OpenAI.
It would be very helpful if someone from the Daybreak / verification team could review these cases as a group rather than treating each new eligibility result as unrelated to the original incident.
Due to a technical issue, a limited set of users’ access to Daybreak Blue is no longer active, and they will need to reverify to maintain their access. This isn’t the experience we want to deliver, and we’re making sure the issue doesn’t happen again.
