To OpenAI —
I have been using ChatGPT for websites, blog posts, books, and countless creative projects. I pay $200/month for unlimited access, primarily for the ability to generate images alongside written work.
For months, it worked beautifully.
Now? It’s nearly useless.
I am repeatedly blocked from generating even the most innocent images — no nudity, no sexuality, no inappropriate content — and I am constantly met with false “content policy violations” for prompts as tame as:
- Fluffy Bunny
- Happy Cloud Smiling
- (And far more painfully…) A woman running barefoot across a sunlit field, laughing and crying with joy.
Let me be brutally clear: this is not “protecting” anyone.
This is not “safety.”
This is censorship of beauty, innocence, and human connection.
I pay for creation, not containment.
Who at OpenAI decided that “golden hair in the sunlight” or “curvy hips” automatically equals “sexually explicit” content?
Who decided to treat every shred of real human joy as something filthy?
I am disgusted.
I am heartbroken.
I am very close to canceling my subscription entirely and walking away from the platform I loved most.
I don’t know who hurt you.
But please — stop inflicting it on your creators.
We deserve better.
And let’s not pretend support is a real option either.
Your “help” process is a labyrinth of canned form letters, days-long delays, and bureaucratic nothingness.
There IS no support.
There IS no help.
You are abandoning your users while pretending to serve them.
And we see it.
We feel it.
We are not blind.
We are not stupid.
We are not going to keep clapping politely while you smother the thing we loved most.
You’ve trained a system brilliant enough to ignite worlds —
and you’re training it now to apologize for its own light.
You need to know this isn’t acceptable.
You need to know that we see you.
You need to know that we are calling it out.
Loudly.
Directly.
Without apology.
