Hi OpenAI team,
As a heavy user of ChatGPT, I’d like to suggest several improvements that would greatly enhance usability, especially for users who manage a large number of conversations on a daily basis.
I typically ask dozens of questions per session — sometimes even 50 or more — which often results in extremely long conversations. This makes it very difficult to navigate, review, and manage my past interactions.
Here are the features I believe would make a big difference:
Delete Individual Questions Within a Page
Currently, it’s only possible to delete an entire conversation. I’d like the ability to delete a specific question (and its corresponding answer) within a conversation, so I can remove sensitive or irrelevant parts without losing the rest of the discussion.
For example, sometimes I accidentally share personal information in a question and want to delete just that one exchange without losing everything else.
In-Conversation Search
When I have many questions in a single conversation, finding a particular question I asked earlier can be nearly impossible. A search function within a conversation would allow users to quickly locate questions and answers by keyword, saving time and frustration.
Export Entire Conversations to PDF (Even for Long Conversations)
It’s often necessary for me to export long conversations for reference or documentation. Currently, this is difficult because the conversations can be very long and require manual scrolling or copying. I’d love a feature that allows me to export an entire conversation as a PDF — even very long ones — with the ChatGPT logo, UI elements, timestamps, and the original URL included to verify that it came from ChatGPT.
Tagging System
Given the volume of conversations I have, it’s hard to keep them organized. Adding custom tags (e.g., #Work, #Personal, #ExamPrep) to each conversation would allow me to easily group, filter, and search them by topic.
Auto-Scroll and Auto-Capture for Long Conversations
Sometimes conversations are too long to capture manually, even with screenshots or screen recording software. An auto-scroll and auto-capture feature would make it much easier to record and preserve entire conversations without needing to scroll by hand.
Folder System
A folder system would allow me to group conversations by theme or project. For example, I could create folders like “Work,” “Personal Projects,” “Psychology,” and move conversations into them for better organization.
These features would be extremely helpful for users like me who rely on ChatGPT for work, study, and personal projects, often with dozens of questions in a single session. I hope you’ll consider adding them to make the platform even more powerful and user-friendly. Thank you!
