The actual quota usage does not match with the maximum usage

I was trying to generate some data through gpt4 api, and it came up an error showing my quota was not enough, however it is far less than the maximum usage when I check with my account. Can anyone explain what might be the reason?

The message you’re seeing relates to rate limits not usage limits.

Slow down your requests and you should be fine.

If you are on a prepay credit payment plan, and the “quota” error also said to check your plan…well, check your plan and feed it more money if out of credits.

Indeed I’m on a prepaid plan, so adding more money to the balance could be the correct answer. I’ll do that if wait does not help. Thanks.
