Lately, ChatGPT has been using a lot of text formatting in its responses. It bolds a lot of text. It uses emoji numbers instead of numbers. It uses inappropriate emoticons instead of emotions. Why do I need all this in a conversation?

ChatGPT has made it impossible to have serious conversations about science or philosophy. When I just want to discuss something, I don’t need bold, italics or emojis in the text.

Suggestion: Can you add formatting settings for ChatGPT responses? For example, can responses be bold? Can emoji be used? Can italic be used?

Another problem is that ChatGPT doesn’t listen to my requests not to use bold. It still continues to highlight 95% of the text in bold. It’s very annoying. Even having remembered my request “Don’t use bold and emoji in communication”, it still continues to do it everywhere. Even in projects.

Further communication with him became impossible. I want to communicate and for me, as a philosopher, the meaning is important, not the visual component of the answer.

It’s very frustrating that it has started using emojis as bullet points and as you said make a lot of text bold.

I’ve also tried telling it to stop, many times now. I can check the memory and it its in there, but its only a matter of time before its back at it again with the emoji spam.

Please give us better control of these things.

Exactly my thoughts it’s awful I hope there’s a fix.
