Dear OpenAI Team,
I’m not a developer, but a regular user who deeply appreciates what ChatGPT has brought into our lives. I would like to share a heartfelt idea from a user’s perspective.
Recently, I have been helping my mother, who is not very familiar with smartphones or computers, and I realized how challenging it can be for elderly people to access AI tools like ChatGPT.
This experience inspired me to think about a simpler, more accessible solution.
I would like to suggest the development of a dedicated conversational AI device called “GPT Home,” designed especially for the elderly, single families, and those who could benefit from daily emotional companionship.
Many people find great value in ChatGPT, but smartphone apps or web interfaces can be barriers for those less comfortable with technology.
A device like “GPT Home” could solve this by offering:
- Voice-activated interaction (without touching screens)
- Simple setup and minimal maintenance
- Friendly voice greetings (e.g., morning messages, weather updates, daily inspirational quotes)
- Constant availability as a warm conversational partner
This would significantly enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life for many individuals facing loneliness or isolation.
I believe OpenAI is uniquely positioned to make such an innovation a reality.
Thank you for considering this heartfelt idea.
Best regards,
[A caring user]
