I think a physical ChatGPT device designed as a personal home AI assistant could be very interesting.
There are already smart speakers that can answer questions and control smart-home devices, but they generally don’t truly know the individual user or their history.
A physical ChatGPT device could be different: it could gradually get to know the user, remember their preferences and relevant context, and maintain an ongoing relationship with them.
For an existing ChatGPT user, I imagine being able to activate the device with their account and bring it home already connected to the ChatGPT experience they have built over time — rather than starting from zero with a new device.
These ideas may already be under consideration or may have been suggested by other users. I am not claiming to have invented them; I simply wanted to share the kind of experience I would personally find valuable.
