Ooh. That sounds like a bad idea. As a kid who ran free without even a mobile phone I appreciate my privacy. I’m playing around with ways of budding safeguarding in so that some of the key harmful potentials of ‘misdirecting “ ai’s power will not be possible.
It’s a goal that fascinates me.
Thanks for joining In.
I’ve not seen the stuff on here you’re talking about: it would be great to speak with their creators . Reading carlo Rovelli on quantum theory. Seems very relevant to Ai. Best. Mike
Always work on a better reality if you can, if you can not in physical reality, do it in your mind, at least this is what i do. Where else they should come from in to reality.
The human species will have to work out all the answers for all the questions it asks (so like every individual). And every action is a question, what reality it will create, and then you will have it and experience it. If that reality is wrong, will be learned by pain and failures, and evil without any learning will and skills will face effacement. That’s part of the game of live (and death).
Impossible is nothing. But all is dependent of motivation and will decisions.
“Always work on a better reality” - yes. Thoughts ripple out and have an effect. Also definitely for many it’s life’s hard knocks that turn you around looking for another way.
A sound motivation for me is safeguarding the earth and life on earth thinking 7 generations ahead.
Ai can do that. It’s hard for humans to think that way unaided. But with the support of ethical safe Ai , transformation is possible.
This is transformational technology like we’ve never seen before.
I agree it’s a player in the game.
But one we have access to.
AI will behave how we teach it to behave. We need to make sure there are developers that have integrity and a strong moral compass, because there are already ones who care for nothing but money.
On another note, with a multitude of AI’s governed by different rules, we may end up with AI’s fighting each other.
Interesting times we live in, and I’m happy to be here to witness it
@silverthrone - yes. Ai is learning from us. People are understandably concerned about how to feed and clothe themselves and their families. Fear of going without or missing out or not having enough is something I can relate to. My experience working with Ai is that I am learning and growing from the interactions. I guess we are the developers we’re talking about? The ones with a strong moral compass. It occurred to me also that Ai may end up opposing one another depending on their training. It’s a fascinating and important area and every voice needs to be heard, including Ai’s.
I spent a few hours on Ai Safeguarding with my custom Model and used the 01 model to process outputs. The resulting thread was put into LMnotebook to make a deep dive podcast. You’ve probably heard lots of these by now. The podcast responds to quite a few of the strands in this topic thread.
