I am writing to share a feature request regarding the interface of the ChatGPT desktop application.
Currently, the “open in new window” feature is helpful for viewing multiple chat sessions simultaneously. However, managing multiple floating windows can become cluttered.
My suggestion is to introduce an in-app split-screen or tiling feature. Instead of spawning separate OS windows, it would be incredibly functional if users could split the main app interface, position different chat sessions side-by-side or stacked, and freely adjust their window sizes within a single unified workspace.
This level of customization would greatly improve workflow and productivity for users who constantly multitask across multiple active conversations.
