Slow Response Times from Playground Assistant via API – Seeking Insights

Hey Community,

We’re currently using the Playground Assistant via API to integrate a chatbot into our company website. Over the past two weeks, we’ve noticed a significant increase in response times across all of our assistants.

This slowdown is starting to negatively affect the user experience, and we haven’t been able to identify any changes on our end that could have caused it. We’re reaching out to see if others are experiencing similar issues or have found any workarounds or explanations.

Details:

  • Integration via API from Playground
  • No major code or infrastructure changes recently
  • Response delays are consistent across all assistants and endpoints
  • Began noticing the issue roughly two weeks ago

Any advice, troubleshooting tips, or updates from OpenAI would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Are you using assistant api? If yes, it will be depricated soon. We have the same experience with assistant api. You should switch to response api asap.
