Robots: AI in Physical Robotic Forms

Just a thread for keeping track of all the AI robotics breakthroughs…

It’s crazy how fast things are improving…

I’ve never shared YouTube clips here…so let’s see if i manage to do that. But either way I saw this…and this is pretty neat.

yea i tend to share a lot of sites and videos haha…

this is really interesting to me, though.

i need to research up on where they’re at with “World models” and allowing robots to learn skills in VR then use them in the real world…

thanks for sharing! hoping this thread attracts people more knowledgeable than myself! haha

Larisa,

Who was the producer of this device and YouTube please? Helix 2 the AI or the whole product?

Thanks. Merrick Krause

Welcome to the community!

The YouTube clip itself was posted by David Carbutt. The company/product shown in the demo is Figure AI / Figure 03 and the AI system behind it is Helix.

So in short:

  • Producer/company: Figure AI
  • Robot/product: Figure 03
  • AI model: Helix

You can also find the details through the YouTube link I shared.

Happen to see this…humanoid robot winning half marathon and record breaking time in Beijing.

Before ya know it, there will be Robot Olympics. Then we can kiss humanity goodbye…

Well I thought that half marathon was pretty neat, just to see what humanoid robots are capable of..and it’s long way until we can kiss humanity goodbye:smirking_face:

Yesterday, Genesis-26.5 was launched, a new “general-purpose robotics model.”

The team also published a detailed article about it, which is definitely worth checking out:

PS: If someone knows how to render videos or links without triggering the “Sorry, you can’t include links in your posts” error, that would be much more convenient.

Fixed it for ya. New users are a bit limited due to spammers, etc.

Good to have you with us! Welcome to the community!

We’ve got some great knowledge and people here. Hope you stick around!
