Retrieval Assistant Logs for lazy retrieval assistant

Hi community,

I have an assistant that utilizes retrieval. However, this assistant employs retrieval in a rather lazy and unconsistant manner. For this reason, I would like to be able to determine from the logs (at least at playground) if it has utilized retrieval to construct its responses. Being able to see the context passed would be useful.

This is a very similar issue than this one. The lazy retrieval behaviour has been tackled here and here IMO without much success.

Well, the thing about retrieval is that it’s meant to retrieve info based on context, so consistency is going to be relevant to the context in the discussion.

That makes for troubleshooting this rather difficult and subjective.

Let’s start with this: What is the intended outcome, or the intended result, and what is it actually doing?
