I am writing as an active ChatGPT user to express my sincere appreciation for the continuous innovation you bring to the platform, and to make a specific request regarding one of the most valuable features you have implemented: the Canvas interface.
Canvas represented a massive leap forward in user experience, especially for those of us involved in creative writing, story development, scriptwriting, and long-form text projects. The ability to interact with text in real time, make targeted edits without losing the thread of the conversation, adjust length, and refine details directly on the canvas dramatically improved workflow and creative focus.
Without this feature, the editing process goes back to constantly copying, pasting, and re-prompting in the main chat window, which creates friction and disrupts the momentum of long-form writing.
Therefore, I kindly request that you consider bringing back or permanently enabling the Canvas tool (or an equivalent interactive editing environment). For many creators and writers, this feature transformed ChatGPT from a conversational assistant into a true co-writing workspace.
