Regenerate Button vanished

Normal chats don’t have the regenerate buttons anymore either. While we were expecting them to fix it, it has only gotten worse. How great!

I’m really frustrated that the “Regenerate Response” button has suddenly disappeared, especially in Custom GPTs. This button was extremely useful for quickly refining answers, and editing and resending messages just isn’t the same. I hope OpenAI addresses this soon!

The thing about normal chats is that it doesn’t have a regeneration button. If you click on it, it shows you the models you use. There is the 4o mini and 4o. You click on the generate with whatever model your chat first responded with. That was the new thing they added. So generation button was changed into the change model button.

It is usually like that, but yesterday, it went completely for me. Today it was back. Thanks for the advice though.

Yeah, when there is an error when Chatgpt starts a prompt, it will magically make the toolbar disappear like Houdini. It usually comes back when you send the request again.

I’m having the same problem.

Does anyone know if this is something that was intended or if they are working on a solution?

Because response regeneration is central in my use of my GTP model, and it’s been several weeks since I wasn’t able to progress in my project.
I have already canceled my subscription, but I would like to know if I should just wait or if I need to look for another way to manage my work.

Can we get an update on this bug?

I’m also affected. This is especially a problem with custom GPT messages that include images, because messages that contain an image have no edit button to begin with.

This issue with the missing regenerate button in custom GPTs still persists.

I discovered a workaround: starting a new chat with the standard ChatGPT and, after the first message, tagging my custom GPT using the ‘@’ symbol. This enables me to regenerate responses from my custom GPT.

It’s important to note that the first message must be sent to the standard ChatGPT. If you start the conversation with the custom GPT and refresh the page, the issue with the regenerate button will reappear.

However, this approach isn’t very convenient as it requires me to remember to invoke my custom GPT manually each time. A more streamlined solution would be greatly appreciated.

I’m having the same problem since yesterday, i hope that they fix the issue.
