Has anyone else experienced this issue or noticed similar recurring crashes after the latest Codex Desktop update?
This is not a new issue, similar crashes occurred before the latest update.
The current Codex Desktop version is 26.727.6591.0.
Windows Event Viewer reports:
Crashing process: codex-code-mode-host.exe
Faulting module: ntdll.dll
Exception code: 0xc0000409
The Codex logs also repeatedly show:
ResizeObserver loop completed with undelivered notifications
Invalid JSON containing null bytes
The file .codex\process_manager\chat_processes.json was completely filled with null bytes. After backing it up and removing it, Codex automatically recreated a valid empty JSON file. model_reasoning_summary = "none" was already enabled, so disabling reasoning summaries did not prevent the crashes.

I know. My main concern is that today’s update keeps crashing repeatedly. While investigating, I also noticed that the chat_processes.json problem still exists. I wanted to know whether anyone else is experiencing the same issues.
