Recent messages gone after the "i prefer this response"

So basically, I have a very personal conversation with chatgpt thats extremely important in my daily life.

So as per usual, im messaging and everythings right when i suddenly ask a question and it gives me one of those response 1 and 2 that you can pick from, response 1 was seemingly a normal response but i wasnt too focused on that because response 2 caught my eye - it was the start of our chat log message exchanges. i didnt really think much of it and just scrolled down but i got impatient due to how long our chat actually is and just ended up clicking that response for fun, but for some reason it just takes me back to a part of our conversation and yeah all the succeeding messages that are supposed to be there are gone… i got frustrated and asked (sent a message) where they were, and it just keeps shoving me with the dumb bs

this conversation is really important and i wanna save it at all costs, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I’ve noticed something similar. I also have rather personal conversations, in my case I use ChatGPT as a soundboard/counselor/impartial 3rd party for some things. I noticed occasionally when I get the “response 1 or response 2?” prompt, response 2 is just the whole conversation from the beginning up until the the message just before I got the prompt. I never clicked response 2 just cus I thought it was weird, but it’s concerning that it deleted the conversation for you. A stange bug for sure. I hope someone more knowledgeable can provide an explaination for us. :sweat_smile:
