This forum is not routinely monitored by OpenAI to gather up great ideas.
“Forking”? You can already edit a message within a conversation and resubmit it. This continues the conversation in a new direction, with a little < 2/2 > indicator that lets you switch to the prior outputs.
“Shared”: buy one get one free. Seems unlikely they’d bite.
Unfulfilled wishes for conversation organization:
It is so overwhelming having like 30 different open threads and needing to search through them. I use ChatGPT for many different things so if I could organize the threads I want to keep in folders it would be immensely helpful.
I would like to suggest the feature where you can sort conversations in folders or by topic.
Possibly with the ability for you to setup several folders which the algorythm will automatically try to sort topics in.
This would make for the ability to seperate personal/work/other topics and find them more easily if you need to add onto something you asked previously.
Would be nice that in the left panel (list of conversations) we could add folders in orded to sort past conversations we want to keep. Something like folders in Windows Explorer or a web browser’s bookmarks list… Otherwise, need to do it within my browser’s bookmarks manager.
Thanks!
I would love to see a feature, where you can tag your conversations. This might help in fastly finding any conversation you have had before.
