In the past, if you had a chat session using an o1 model, and you put it in a project, it would start acting like a 4o model. This was useful if you needed it to access large amounts of data from PDF or Word documents. Then, if you needed it to act like an o1 model again, you would remove it from the project. However, that has changed. Now, o1 models act like o1 models in the project and can only access pictures again. To make matters worse, the o1 and o1 Pro models can only keep track of up to 5 different students in one chat session at a time. As soon as I add a 6th student to the class roster, it forgets one of the students. This makes it impossible to manage a class’s data with o1 or 4o models.
