Suggestion for Project Folder Enhancement:
As I user I often find myself wondering what would happen if my Project folders accidentally or deliberately got deleted. If all of my chats relating to a project(s) are stored in one folder, the quickest way to have them deleted is to press on the 3 dots and delete. This is a safety concern as it was with choosing to delete all chat logs on the account. I suggest the following improvements:
- Folder Lock Mechanism:
- Allow users to lock folders to prevent accidental deletion or modification.
- Locked folders would require a secondary code (e.g., a PIN or password) to unlock, ensuring deliberate actions.
- Enhanced Deletion Protection:
- When attempting to delete a folder, provide a detailed confirmation step that lists the number of chats and other contents being deleted.
- Require users to type a confirmation phrase (e.g., “DELETE”) to proceed, reducing accidental deletions.
- Recovery Option:
- Implement a recovery system with a 30-day window to restore deleted folders and their contents.
- Deleted folders could move to a temporary holding area (e.g., a “Recycle Bin”) before permanent removal.
- Better Account Security:
- Settings > General > Delete All Chats > “Delete All” should come with the
same safety measures as the project folder.
That is it from this end.
