I’m a paying ChatGPT Plus subscriber, and the new minimalist interface has made ChatGPT significantly harder to use.
The text is too small, there’s excessive empty space, and the layout is less functional than the previous version.
**The small text isn’t just difficult to read. It also makes it difficult to tap the correct items accurately.** This creates navigation problems and increases errors. It’s both a usability and an accessibility issue.
The Android app doesn’t offer an independent font-size adjustment. Changing Android’s font settings didn’t help, and switching to Chrome provided only a marginal improvement. I should not have to enlarge every interface on my phone just to make ChatGPT usable.
I’m requesting three changes:
1. Restore the option to use the previous ChatGPT layout.
2. Add an adjustable font size within ChatGPT, independent of system settings.
3. Ensure text, buttons, and other interactive elements have adequately sized touch targets for accurate navigation.
A minimalist design should not come at the expense of readability, accessibility, or functionality.
Please ensure this feedback reaches the product and design teams. Users should have the ability to choose an interface that works for them.
