I would like to bring attention to some concerning links that seem to mirror or replicate ChatGPT services.
Here are the URLs I’ve encountered (this community is unable to add links, so I’ve added spaces):
linux do
new oaifree com
zhile io
sharedchat cn
github com/wozulong/ChatGPTAuthHelper
shared oaifree com – This site can be accessed via Linux do auth, using authentication from Hong Kong and China.
Additionally, I found more links related to user-shared servers and APIs:
github com/xyhelper/xyhelper-chrome-login
github com/xyhelper/chatgpt-mirror-server-deploy
github com/xyhelper/chatgpt-api-server-deploy
github com/xyhelper/chatgpt-share-server-deploy
github com/dairoot/ChatGPT-Mirror
I kindly urge the administration to investigate these links to enhance the security measures surrounding ChatGPT. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Thank you for sharing the information about the potentially problematic websites and repos!
Instead of tagging staff members, I suggest sending the message to legal@openai.com. This is the best solution since they will ultimately handle each case.
Thanks again for sharing this important information with the community!
I have updated this post after learning that screenshots of some content from this thread have been shared out of context on other platforms.
I’d like to be clear that I don’t want any of my posts or screenshots shared without my consent or outside of the full context of the discussion.
Summary of my original post:
Recently, some users had issues with ChatGPT’s export function, so I, along with others, went looking for alternative solutions. I came across a user script that could handle the export on a “use at your own risk” basis, which I suggested.
Not long after, someone raised concerns about the script, mentioning potential security risks with user scripts and CDNs. While I took the concerns seriously and did some investigating, I didn’t find anything immediately harmful, but I found a forum connected to one of the domains mentioned by the original poster of this thread. It seemed to be mostly tech enthusiasts and curious Chinese speaking users.
OpenAI’s services are blocked in China, so what is going on might be against OpenAI’s rules.
That said, it might be worth exploring an official service for China. If there are already mirrors for OpenAI services, it could be a missed business opportunity. Providing an official option could offer a legitimate alternative for users in China.
In a previous version of this post, I also discussed an idea for an open-source ChatGPT client. I’ve since removed that section to keep this thread focused on the original issue, but I might explore that idea in a new topic in the future.
I understand people are trying to help, but I don’t believe it’s appropriate when users take it upon themselves to hunt down others, post screenshots, or threaten them with reporting and punitive actions.
I joined this forum to learn, contribute where I can, and help the community. However, I didn’t sign up for this kind of behavior, and I think we should try to create a positive and supportive environment - not a bullying squad.
The open-source repositories you shared that I fork. There is no competition. I just want to report to OpenAI about mirroring ChatGPT API + Chat2API using the access token.
This forum shouldn’t be the place to post chat histories with third parties or to use screenshots out of context to make others feel threatened with punitive actions on behalf of OpenAI. This behavior is unacceptable and manipulative, especially when done without the consent of the original poster and all involved parties.
