Please add the ability to move, merge, and nest ChatGPT Projects.
As projects grow, separate projects often become parts of a larger effort. Instead of requiring users to move individual chats and files manually, ChatGPT should allow an entire project to be added to another project.
Suggested features:
- Move Project to Project — Move an entire project into another project.
- Merge Projects — Combine two or more existing projects.
- Subprojects — Allow projects to be nested under larger parent projects.
- Preserve Everything — Keep chats, files, project instructions, and organization intact when moving projects.
- Conflict Handling — Ask what to do when duplicate files or project information conflict.
- Undo — Allow users to reverse a project move or merge.
For example:
Programming Projects
→ File Manager
→ Art App
→ Utility Apps
→ OpenClaw Mobile
This would make Projects much easier to organize as a user’s work grows and would turn Projects into a more flexible workspace rather than a collection of separate containers.
Thank you for considering it.
