Please add a Custom Playback Speed option to ChatGPT’s Read Aloud feature.
For example:
0.75× — 1× — 1.25× — 1.5× — 1.75× — 2×
I frequently use ChatGPT to generate long articles, research-based content, and other detailed written material. I then listen to those responses using Read Aloud. At the current fixed speed, listening to long responses takes a lot of time.
A 2× playback speed would make this much more efficient. Even better would be a custom speed slider, allowing users to choose speeds such as 1.3×, 1.6×, 1.8×, or 2× according to their preference.
This request is specifically for Read Aloud playback speed, not just the speed of Voice conversations.
Other AI products already provide adjustable reading speeds, so adding this feature to ChatGPT would significantly improve the experience for users who regularly listen to long AI-generated responses.
Please consider forwarding this feature request to the ChatGPT product team. I would really like to see 2× and Custom Speed added to Read Aloud.
