My favorite question:

  • On 45:45 - Feature request about “Sign in with your ChatGPT account”.

The best part, which I think Sam got it right on spot:

  • 47:28 "And in the meantime, I think doing something just with, you know, token budgets and if I pay for the pro model, then I can use it on other services, that seems like a cool thing to do. "

I mentioned something similar in the past, as a safer solution to the BYOK apps that requires an user API.

Allowing the user to spend inference of its own ChatGPT account on other apps, would be a perfect solution since he already paid for it. And unlike in the video, I think user data is not essential (it is too sensitive), but just allowing inference sharing completely solves the issue of having to manage huge bills and prevent API keys from leaking, making security management much easier.

It would make things much easier to create safer indie apps.
