OpenAI OAuth for SaaS AI tools?

I’ve seen a lot of BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) tools out there, with users having to share their personal OpenAI API keys with SaaS products - wouldn’t it be simpler if OpenAI just implemented an OAuth that allows the customer to sign in with their OpenAI account instead? Is there something like this in place that I’m not aware of? Is there a way that’s better than bluntly asking the user to enter their API keys?

Sure, the method is you use your API key, you then charge users for tokens used, either in blocks per month or per token used, it’s up to you how you manage your customers.

OpenAI is the AI supplier, you are the 3rd part value add to that service, you have your customer that you charge and then from that revenue you pay OpenAI for your usage.
