Since 2026 openai Chat Kit Starter App no longer works - does anyone have en idea how to fix that?
In December 2025 it was working with out any problems
Hey @j_brief, that’s odd. Can you walk me through what you do in the ChatKit Starter App from the start until it breaks, and share a screenshot of the error you see?
If you have it handy, sharing the time it failed, your browser and OS, and anything you see in the console or network tab would really help us narrow it down.

I built an agent with OpenAI agent builder and then deployed them with the open Chat-Kit Starter App at Vercel
This worked perfectly in December 2025.
Now (February 2026), I’ve built a new agent and wanted to deploy it again on Vercel using the same principle from the same Chat-Kit Starter App repository on GitHub.
But now it no longer works, and I keep getting the error message 404: NOT_FOUND.
I also entered the URL generated by Vercel in my domain allowlist in Open AI security but now a got a public key for the first time, although I don’t know exactly what it’s for or where to enter it?
I also tried to deploy it on Netlify and got the same error message. I also tried it on different Macs with different OS versions.
When I look at my previously functioning deployments from agents created earlier, they were last deployed on December 7, 2025.

What am I doing wrong?

I’ve been having issues with entities, but I didn’t have it working before. On click and preview aren’t firing for me
