ChatKit Unhelpful Error: There was an error while generating the assistant's response

I am deploying my second ChatKit widget and having some trouble this time.

It works fine in preview. Deployed, it displays and runs but after a few steps, I get an error: “There was an error while generating the assistant’s response.” That’s all it says.

Looking in the developer console, I see the trace for this conversation but there’s no error listed there, just an incomplete run.

I tried logging out ChatKit errors to the browser console but none are triggered in this case.

How do I proceed?

Started facing the same issue. I didn’t change much in the code related to the chatkit.

upd: the issue was on my side, I’ve added mcp node with bad config, and it failed even inside the agent builder ui.
