OpenAI and Microsoft Sued by 8 Publishers

For everyone who doesn’t want to watch some guy yap for 'bout 30 minutes about a news article with a read time of less than 2 minutes, here’s the tldr:

Eight newspaper publishers, all owned by MediaNews Group or Tribune Publishing, which both are subsidiaries of Alden global capital (hedge fund), have decided to sue OpenAI over alleged copyright infringement. The eight papers are: The New York Daily News, The Chicago Tribune, The Orlando Sentinel, The Sun Sentinel of Florida, The San Jose Mercury News, The Denver Post, The Orange County Register and The St. Paul Pioneer Press.
