I am writing to say how much I enjoy using Sora. I was very sad to hear the news about the app shutting down.
Sora is a amazing tool for creativity, and it helps people like me bring our ideas to life in a way that hasn’t been possible before. Please consider keeping the video tools available for creators who love using them.

What a depressing post that reeks of one with a foolish persona. Have you no knowledge of the harm things such as Sora Ai have perpetrated against the environment? Have you no care for the land you live on? Perhaps if you had used your brain (which I implore you to utilize from now on), this post could’ve been avoided.
I don’t want the Sora 2 to shut down. They are clearly Crazy! We just wanted to keep Sora 2 in this app and Website for all people, including us!

You are not alone. Sora is a marvelous tool and the platform is a beautiful place full of creative people. I would prefer deeper limits on generations with better editing tools. Maybe even just cutting it to only paying users and raising the price. I am willing to pay more. The platform will be much less wasteful with more tools to make use of the material you generate. Like seriously, give it another chance!!
Every data center in the world–and I do mean every, not just AI data centers–account for less than 1% of our water usage. I want to say it’s 0.3% specifically, but it’s definitely less than 1. You are being distracted by a strawman so you don’t focus on important issues.

I agree I wish they keep it had best community especially for creativity and no other had character features. I wish they keep and miracle happens like some breakthrough for company.

I totally agree with the friends…please do not close SORA..we are generating very important videos for the training of vulnerable kids!
One of the biggest mistakes was making Sora 2 free. If the product failed, that may be one of the main reasons. Instead of offering it for free and then shutting it down, you could have made it a paid app from the beginning.
You made Sora 2 too restricted by limiting it to only a few countries and then shutting it down. Instead of closing it, you could remove the regional restrictions, expand it worldwide, and make it a fully paid app.
Why close it completely?
If needed, you could even separate Sora from OpenAI as its own product. And if copyright concerns are part of the reason, that still does not fully explain the shutdown. Other generators can also create content involving brands, famous styles, or recognizable things like Coca-Cola. In my opinion, your copyright protection and safety systems were already better than those in many other apps.
That is why shutting Sora down feels like a waste of a strong product, when there were still other business options available.
Please don’t take down Sora 2.
