Woman in the hall of a castle, still DALL-E 3
Details with attention to:
- depth of field
- separating foreground from the background
- advanced lighting
- pores at the skin
- details on the clothes
- lighting and details for the hairs
- eyes still need improvements
- hands could have more styled nails (but for now, it’s quite a natural look)
I will definitely put an update here when I hit the limit of what DALL-E 3 can do.
P.S.: This is the 23rd iteration so far.
One of the first iterations looked like this:
Hmmmm… Maybe this can even be done with one of the new tasks features now. Then, it could be improving until there’s no improvement left and present the finished pic.

It is so expressive. It seems to draw from stylistic elements so distant from current illustrations, yet it conveys in a highly effective way, from a formal perspective, a dimension that is unclassifiable, out of time. I love it: if I had the original prompt, I would probably create a bunch of versions experimenting with different subjects.

I don’t recall the exact prompt, but try to ask for facial expressions and emotions, etc. Good luck!

After iteration 70 or so, I just saw, DALL-E 3 wasn’t maxed out for this scene. BUT, I could still iterate. It felt like I am stuck.
Thus, I re-iterated the “picture iteration prompt” that I had made quite a lot.
AND, told chatpt to contineu with my last pic BEFORE the prompt has been improved but work from here applying the new prompt.
I needed to do this to put way more focus on
- eyes
- details
- clothing details
- general lighting
- details in general
- better iterating process
So that’s then iteration 70:
Now, the results get way better once more. Even quicker.
Subjectively, at least, the pics turn out way more detailed quite quickly.

Faschion hm … that doesn’t always have to relate to humans 
For example:
A Dutch gentleman in elegant Portuguese traditional dress!
As far as depth of detail, facial expressions and expression are concerned, there are also many areas to explore here:
- Fur texture and lustre
- Patterns of ornamentation
- Facial expressions and expressions
- Reflections
