Did you try to prompt it instead? If the model can’t do it the way you imagined (and I guess this is a problem we all face with DALL-E for quite some things. :-), and thus we may wrongly assume it can’t do it all)
Let me give you one example and then get back to you:
For example I tried to make a portrait of a woman. I saw this as a challenge one day (some weeks ago) when people said: Nuuuh, you can’t do photorealistic pics with DALL-E 3, really. Back then I agreed.
But then I said to myself: What if we just try to prompt it better? find out how it should/could be prompted?
For example the shoes of the woman were not reflecting on the marble floor. So, I just put this into the prompt. And voilá. Suddenly it was possible.
So, back to you:
Did you try to prompt what the leather should look like, etc. already?
DALL-E 3 can definitely do more than we may think. But we gotta prompt it.
Example:
Very simple prompt: Render a woman with a leather cap.
It looks ok, but not 100% convincing for sure.
Second iteration which is: Asking ChatGPT to output the possible improvements in a textual table, work them in, THEN render again.
Let’s repeat this a couple of times… and we get:
P.S.:
All pics were still created with DALL-E 3.

Here I started to write some own things. Maybe it helps you:
