Building “Nova: Your Adaptive AI” – An Assistant That Learns You
Hey everyone!
I’m currently building an AI-powered personal assistant app called Nova: Your Adaptive AI, and I wanted to share the concept with fellow builders here and get some feedback or connection points.
What is Nova?
Nova is a customizable, context-aware assistant powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o API, with a focus on:
- Adaptive automation (Nova learns from repeated actions and suggests workflows)
- Emotional tone detection (UI and behavior shift based on conversation tone)
- Modular memory and tuning profiles (users can control how Nova learns, responds, and evolves)
- Conversational and task-based interaction in one seamless interface
Stack & Build Approach (So Far)
- AI: OpenAI GPT-4o via API
- Frontend: Leaning toward React Native for mobile
- Backend: Firebase or Supabase for real-time memory/state
- State Engine: Custom logic for detecting habits, triggering automation, and tone adaptation
We’re aiming for a non-intrusive, fluid UX where Nova acts as a second brain and silent partner — always learning, never interrupting.
What I’m Looking For:
- Has anyone here tackled automation trigger logic or habit detection using GPT functions or embeddings?
- Open to developer collaboration or shared insights — especially around memory structuring and user-context continuity.
- Feedback welcome on how others approach tone-adaptive systems or memory architecture with OpenAI tools.
Would love to connect with others building intelligent assistants or behavior-aware tools!
