My custom app connectors have disapeard

I had two custom MCP connectors to my app. Now they have disappeared. I tried to create them again, but got a message ‘Connector name already exists’.
So, I assume they are not gone, just were hidden. What do I do?

Same here - all of the sudden. They are still available in chat for selection but not in settings. Really annoying

This looks similar to earlier reports where custom apps/connectors disappeared from the Apps & Connectors menu or could not be re-added:

In that earlier case, OpenAI Support later indicated that the issue had been resolved on OpenAI’s side. So if the connector previously worked and then disappeared without local changes, this may need OpenAI to investigate.

In reviewing the earlier related topic that OpenAI closed, OpenAI Support noted:

Could you please go ahead and create a support ticket for this? When you do, it would really help if you can include:

  • The email address associated with your workspace
  • A HAR file capturing the issue (this helps us investigate at the account level)

Once that’s done, just share the case ID with us here so we can track this.


Note: I do not work for OpenAI, but from what I have seen, opening a support ticket and then posting the case ID here can help. It gives OpenAI Support a concrete reference point and account-level details they can investigate.

That is as far as I can give step-by-step instructions, since I have not had to do this myself for a real issue.
