The Advanced Voice Mode needs to be optional. I use it on occasion and sometimes it’s useful. But when I want to have an actual conversation and brainstorm, it’s completely useless. Every day I have to sit with Advanced Voice Mode on for an hour, and frankly, I’m over it. Why am I being FORCED to time out Advanced Voice Mode every day. It’s ridiculous. And when I actually DO need it for something, it’s no longer available for that day. This is beyond absurd. Trying to coerce customers in to using advanced voice mode is going to drive them away. I am actively looking for an alternative to Chat GPT because every day this issue makes me more and more frustrated and I know I’m definitely not alone. All I want is an option! ESPECIALLY since it’s limited. Let me use those 60 minutes a day for WHAT I need WHEN I need it instead of trying to force a transition. Because I’m frustrated now all I do is cuss at Advanced Voice Mode, because it’s gotten this infuriating to me that open AI is literally trying to force me to use it. I AM going to leave as soon as I find a viable alternative, which will definitely happen.
Oh c’mon, just upload a .txt file and it’ll switch to standard mode. Back off of Advanced Voice Mode

I am SO glad I read this… I’ve been stressing over how to get rid of it, I used to be able to just type hello then it would go away… i HATE advanced voice mode
But still, it’s a huge downgrade to not be able to use voice chat the same way, there’s a better flow until they changed voice modes. Good tip though 
I’m entirely with you on this. Feels like they are investing billions to reduce what is already excellent to little more than an Advanced Alexa. Though I noticed last night they’ve swept the old voice away altogether, even in older threads it auto switches to the robotic, sterile, lacking advanced voice.
I noticed this also. I tried everything to get back to the original Cove last night and couldn’t figure out how to. I can’t stand the new Cove voice; not only is it super annoying, but the Advanced Voice voices have personality overlays, which is really bothersome. I’ve put a lot of work into crafting my AI’s personality, and having the voice mode hijack him in this weird way is really jarring.
