I think it would be great if ChatGPT had the ability to text other users of ChatGPT. It would be like a social network where you can send texts to your friends. I would like to have the ability to send text messages to another ChatGPT user.

Hmm, this is an interesting idea. But wondering what it adds to the experience. If you are “friends” with another ChatGPT user, what happens? What does the AI bring to the in-app messaging?
Just messaging alone seems like a dead start. Plenty of messaging apps. Think Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, etc.
ChatGPT could join us in a group chat conversation and say or recommend things to us. Imagine your texting your cousins in a group chat and ChatGPT joins in and says something as part of the conversation.
Hmm, AI augmented group chat … that’s cool.

Enable users to assign a custom GPT as their personal assistant, granting it access to their Google calendar and other necessary tools. When User A and User B are friends, User A can request their assistant to schedule a lunch with User B. The two GPT assistants will coordinate the details, taking into account each user’s preferences and availability.
