I’m reaching out to report a series of issues I’ve experienced with ChatGPT 4o image analysis and web search functionality since the recent updates. I rely heavily on ChatGPT to analyze images and retrieve relevant information from the web, but the recent changes have made it difficult to work effectively. Here’s a summary of the issues:

  1. Image Analysis: When I upload images containing text or questions, ChatGPT often fails to analyze the image content on the first request. I have to prompt it multiple times before it realizes there is text to analyze within the image, which disrupts the workflow and causes delays.
  2. Web Search Inconsistencies: When I ask ChatGPT to provide an initial response to a question and then perform a web search for additional information, it sometimes brings back irrelevant information based on previous topics instead of the current question. This results in unrelated answers, making it challenging to get accurate, updated information.
  3. Delayed Adaptation to Instructions: It appears ChatGPT struggles to focus on the latest instruction provided and often refers back to older topics or previous searches, which creates confusion and impacts my productivity.

I believe these issues are likely due to the recent updates, and they have significantly affected my experience. I would appreciate any insights into whether these issues are being addressed or if there are any solutions I can implement on my end. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

most likely issue here, due to resent updates I’m not able to use search feature as mentioned on web https://openai.com/index/introducing-chatgpt-search
still if I select icon and tries to search, ChatGPT generates output without using new search feature, it uses normal free user search features.
it is not able to show any type of design, as mentioned on website (format/designs: weather, stocks, news,). even if device GPS is on, it’s not able to show correct weather. Model is not able to show searched images, sources.
I tried many devices, reinstalled app, clear data/ cache, even tried to use VPN nothing works.
OpenAI sent me mail about I’m eligible for this feature, for first some days its accessible with all working condition, after few days they removed feature, now since 4,5 days its back and not working little bit.
