Issues with assistants, threads and function calling

I’m very consistently seeing that after a few messages in the same thread with the same assistant, function calling is broken. What should be the filters/parameters that should come through the function calling comes in the actual response directly without function calling.

once i recreate a new thread, it works and but the same repeats after a few messages.

I do a lot with Assistants and function calling, not too many turns usually. Happy to help if you share some more information?
