We currently use Chat Completions api to build our assistant. I 'm starting to explore Assistants API and I’m wondering how much energy I should put in experimenting and learning it.
Are we expected to replace completions with assistants at some point ?
I really hope not, I need more granular control and prefer to remain solvent!
(but I seriously doubt it, the market for chat completion is too large)
Chat Completions is not deprecated, nor are there such grumblings.
Assistants has been a “experiment with, and confirm the lack of user satisfaction and the overbilling others have reported” experience. For having made a dozen API code methods and a few dozen network requests to get one response.
It would only be by acceptance that they would continue this path.
