On the iPhone app, the “Read Aloud” button is placed directly next to the “Copy” button.
I frequently copy text for work, and I often accidentally tap “Read Aloud” instead of “Copy”.
This is especially frustrating in public places, on trains, or at work because audio playback starts unexpectedly.
I found similar complaints from other users on Reddit, so this does not appear to be an isolated issue.
Possible improvements:
-
Allow users to hide the Read Aloud button
-
Allow customization of the action buttons
-
Move Read Aloud into the “…” menu
-
Add an option to disable Read Aloud completely
The current placement makes accidental activation too common for users who frequently use the Copy function.
