I changed models just once and now intelligent UI only works when I use incognito mode without signing in. It doesn’t even work when I explicitly ask it to use it

Which model and thinking level are you using now? Intelligent UI works with GPT-6 in Chat from Instant through Extra High, but the Pro reasoning option doesn’t support it. Our Intelligent UI in ChatGPT guide explains this in more detail.
Also, have a look under Settings -> Personalization -> Layout and Visuals and make sure it isn’t set to Simple.
Since your incognito test was signed out, could you try signing into the same account in that window? Then test the same prompt in a new GPT-6 chat to see whether it still happens.
If it does, please contact Support at support@openai.com with the prompt, model and thinking level you tested, plus your browser version, so the team can take a closer look.
