Feature Idea: Inline Replies to Specific Parts of ChatGPT Responses
One issue with long ChatGPT responses is that users often want to respond to a specific paragraph or idea instead of the entire message.
My idea is to allow users to reply directly to individual sections of a ChatGPT response. After each explanation block, there could be a small “…” menu or “Reply to this point” option.
Example:
- ChatGPT gives a long multi-point answer
- The user taps point #3
- The user asks a follow-up tied only to that section
- ChatGPT continues the conversation contextually from that exact point
Benefits:
- Makes long conversations easier to navigate
- Improves clarity during complex discussions
- Creates a more natural threaded conversation experience
- Especially useful for coding, research, brainstorming, and educational explanations
