While I appreciate the model’s ability to generate creative and helpful suggestions, I have encountered several issues that highlight areas for improvement.
1. Issues with Non-Existent Recommendations
When I asked ChatGPT to recommend five emerging artists for a blog post, the suggestions included names of individuals who do not exist, and these names could not be found through any online search engines, including Google or local Korean platforms like Naver. This occurred three times despite my repeated attempts to clarify the request. It was only when I explicitly provided real artist names that the model was able to return useful information, albeit outdated and not relevant to current trends.
2. Lack of Recent Data Updates
When the model provided data about existing artists, the information appeared to be significantly outdated. This undermines the credibility of the recommendations and limits the model’s usefulness for users seeking up-to-date insights, particularly for topics such as emerging artists, new businesses, or recent events.
3. Suggestions for Improvement
To enhance the quality and accuracy of ChatGPT’s responses, I recommend the following:
- Integrate Real-Time Data: Use recent data sources to verify whether an artist has held an exhibition, released new music, or participated in collaborations. Similarly, for newly established businesses, prioritize listings from blogs or platforms with verified and recent activity, especially on Naver, which is a primary search engine in Korea.
- Localize Search Capabilities: Provide the ability to search and gather information from region-specific platforms like Naver and Daum in Korea. This would ensure that the model’s recommendations are relevant to users in specific regions.
- Set Clear Criteria: For example, emerging artists could be recommended based on recent exhibitions, album releases, or collaborations within a certain time frame. For businesses, prioritize those registered or featured on local blogs within the past year.
While I understand the challenges of maintaining data accuracy and providing real-time responses, I believe these adjustments would greatly enhance the user experience and the model’s reliability.
