Hey everyone,
Is anyone else running into this? Over the last month or so, trying to edit images in ChatGPT has gotten super frustrating.
Whenever I ask for a small change like tweaking a specific detail or swapping out an object, while telling it to keep the rest the same, it basically just throws the whole image away and redraws it from scratch. It always completely changes the art style instead of just fixing the one thing I asked for.
It makes it really hard to iterate on a design when a minor tweak resets all the progress you made on the style and composition.
Are you guys finding any workarounds for this, or is this just how the model behaves right now? Would love to know if anyone has found a good way to keep elements locked down during edits.
Hi @Harley182838,
Could you share an example showing the original image, the exact edit prompt and the resulting edited image? That would make it easier to see exactly how much the style and composition changed.

There has been an issue with the hand-off to the assistant and ChatGPT Classic (Web and App). Have you tried working with ChatGPT Work and the ImageGen Skill? This has been working for me all the time with no problems.
Or reloading the Chat has worked for me too, not the optimal solution, but it works.
