I been experiencing serious timeouts with the assistants api today.

Im also experiencing 3-6 minutes for a run to complete. We need to implement an important workaround for our use cases to work with these times
Assistant API is not ready for prime time even on a good day. It’s much better to roll your own version with chat completions. It also makes you more agile in case you need to switch to another provider during an outage.

Today I started facing the same issue of deley in assistant api response.
Now it’s not working fine for me, it gets stuck on “submit_tool_outputs_and_poll” 10min some times.
Usually takes 30s-1m but some times randolly is taking 10min
I will have to switch to chat compilation as openAI has forgotten this functionality…
Wish I would have seen this at the time. I thought my wi-fi had a problem. Too bad. I checked the status site and it said everything was fine.
